SURVIVOR alum Jaime Huffman has accused her husband of abuse and attempted rape.
The Survivor: China star filed for divorce against Erik Huffman, 43, last week, and alleged abuse alongside cheating in her filing.
Jaime, 38, and Erik met on the reality television show in 2007, and got married in 2009.
In her filing, Jaime alleged that her husband had become a heavy drinker with “uncontrollable rages,” according to documents viewed by the New York Post.
The outlet reported that in the filing made in South Carolina, Jaime outlined issues of domestic violence and cheating, alongside attempted spousal rape.
Jaime claimed that in one instance, she found flirty messages from other men on her husband’s phone.
Jaime said she confronted her husband about the messages, to which: “He snapped and began screaming, ‘How dare you accuse me of being gay, you stupid b***h?'”
The filing then claimed that Erik attempted to have sex with Jaime against her will, and blamed her “weight gain” for being unable to perform the act.
A second incident described a violent moment at the restaurant Jaime worked at.
The documents alleged that Erik showed up to the restaurant, and thought that Jaime was kissing a colleague.
“He began screaming at me and punched a hole into the wall next to my head. He broke multiple bones in his hand and everyone around him went silent,” Jaime’s filing claimed.
The documents also provided a report from a private investigator “proving” that Erik had been having an affair.
The PI’s photos and report detailed that Erik had been spending hours at the home of a married co-worker.
ERIK’S ARREST
Prior to Jaime’s divorce filing, the couple had been separated following Eric’s arrest for domestic violence in the third degree.
On January 23, police responded to a call at a convenience store parking lot involving the couple, according to Us Weekly.
On arrival, Erik claimed that Jaime had accused him of having an affair and the duo had tousled over his phone.
Jaime and Erik’s relationship timeline
Long before the duo’s shocking divorce filing, they met in front of millions of viewers.
PRE-SURVIVOR
Although it took starring on TV for the duo to meet, Jaime and Erik lived only 25 miles apart in Southern California.
2007
Survivor: China aired, showing Jaime and Eric in the same tribe.
The duo bonded in the show, becoming close after they spoke about their personal lives together on Day 13.
While they seemed to support each other throughout the challenges, a fake idol given to Jaime by Erik saw her eliminated, coming in 10th place.
Erik, meanwhile, managed to last slightly longer and came in 6th.
“Erik and I are both southern. We’re both from the same area of South Carolina. We had a lot in common. He’s a very trustworthy person. I knew he didn’t lie to anybody while we were out there.
“He’s just a genuinely good guy, so I felt like I could trust him. The whole time out there, he was just my comfort. He reminded me of back home, and for once I felt like I [could] confide in somebody, so it was really nice to have him on the island with me,” Jaime told Reality TV World in November 2007.
2008
While the couple’s relationship didn’t appear romantic on Survivor, Erik proposed to Jaime soon after.
2009
The couple got married on April 4, in a lavish $80,000 wedding they won in Charleston.
2010
Jaime and Eric welcomed their son, Harper.
He also claimed he was worried for her mental health, according to the police report.
In contrast, Jaime said that she had found Erik’s burner phone in their car, and as they fought over the phone her hand was injured.
She told cops she left him after they arrived at the store as she didn’t feel safe.
Police arrested Erik, with results of the case still pending.
Later, on April 19, police again got involved when the duo met at a parking lot and disagreed over the custody of their son, Harper, who was born in 2010.
Erik was unable to provide proof of a custody agreement provided by a judge, and police allowed Jaime to take Harper for the weekend.
