Months after Superstar Pride released Painting Pictures, which opened at 99 on Billboard Top 100 last month, the song isn’t available to stream on Spotify anymore.
The single was released independently in October of last year and became extremely popular among TikTok users. However, the track was streamed more than four million times between February 10 to 16 tracking week, thus ranking high on several top hit charts.
However, unlike other instances when a song is removed from certain platforms owing to its unauthorized streaming, Painting Pictures’ removal from Spotify has confused fans as they were able to access it until recently.
Painting Pictures is removed on Spotify
If you visit Superstar Pride’s profile on Spotify, where all of his songs are mentioned, you’ll realize Painting Pictures has been removed.
When you click on it, you are met with a message that says: “Song Unavailable. You can still start radio based on this artist.”
However, neither Spotify nor the artist has revealed the reason behind the song going missing suddenly.
While we cannot certainly tell why a song is removed from the platform as the app doesn’t cite the reason either, some tracks are taken down for fraudulent streaming or if there’s a copyright infringement.
Superstar Pride fans aren’t happy
The rapper‘s fans are demanding an answer on Twitter as they aren’t able to find the song anywhere. At the time of this writing, the original track isn’t to be found on YouTube as well.

One fan said: “They really took Painting Picture off of Spotify and I’m highly upset about it!”
“Put Painting Pictures on Spotify. This is unacceptable,” said another.
Another fan tagged the artist in a tweet asking; “Spotify has taken down Painting PIctures by Superstar Pride. Was this an error or was it intended?”
The track appears to have gone missing in March as one fan claimed: “Was literally listening to Painting Pictures two hours ago now Spotify got it off. Lol.”
Rapper is among top emerging artists
Besides Billboard, the track also entered Hot Rap Songs and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs in February 2023.
It is said to sample Soon As I Get Home by Faith Evans which reached No. 21 on the Billboards Hot 100 in 1996.
Yesterday, the rapper shared a screengrab of the current Billioabrd top 100 chart, which shows Painting Pictures at No. 25.
However, fans flooded the post with comments about his song being removed from Spotify, to which the artist didn’t respond.
