Simon Jordan has said that as brilliant as Bukayo Saka has been this season, he cannot be regarded as a world-class player.
The Arsenal poster-child is having the campaign of his life, with 12 goals and 10 assists for the league leaders.

And yet, Simon Jordan told talkSPORT that he does not agree with the idea that Bukayo Saka can be considered as world-class.
Simon Jordan explains why Bukayo Saka is not world-class
Simon Jordan, who is known to be partial to an unpopular opinion has broken down why he believes Bukayo Saka is not world-class yet.
“This idea that we need to tell every English player once they hit a vein of form that they’re world-class is a false equivalency for me because Saka is a very good player. The current incumbent of that particular title. We’ve heard [Marcus] Rashford being world-class this season whereas the year before, he was dreadful.”

Simon Jordan elaborated on why he does not deem Bukayo Saka as a world-class winger yet, saying, “Saka is building and building, and getting better and better, and better. But when we talk about world-class, we talk about geniuses. We talk about [Kylian] Mbappe, we talk about the young kid from Real Madrid, Vinicius Jr. that’s coming through, that I believe a genius is.”
“And then we talk about Saka that’s a very, very good English player that’s building up and may yet become a potential world-class player. What he is at this moment in time is a really clever, bright, young English footballer. To suggest that he is world-class because we’re using him as an English player is as I say, a false equivalency because we have so few and the standard is much lower than the idea of a world-class player that it’s a mischaracterisation.”
“I think it’s also unfortunate that for players like Rashford and Saka that hit veins of form, that are irrepressible and undeniable that automatically, they get elevated to world-class status. And then when their form drops, people start to go after them because they’ve been mischaracterised in the first place. Good player, very clever player.”
Not just Arsenal fans but opposition supporters may also disagree with the view that Bukayo Saka is not world-class, despite the argument made by Simon Jordan.
