Arsenal continue to be linked with Youri Tielemans ahead of the summer transfer window.
90Min have recently reported that the Gunners still see the Leicester City midfielder as an option.
Admittedly, speculation linking Arsenal and Tielemans has petered out somewhat, certainly compared to last year.
Last year, there were reports suggesting that the Belgian had actually agreed terms with the Gunners.
TEAMtalk recently reported that Edu has held transfer talks with Tielemans’ agents over a summer move.
However, the Arsenal chief was apparently left shocked by the 26-year-old’s wage demands.
Since then, Edu reportedly cooled his interest, and now it remains to be seen whether the Gunners will push again.
Bryan Robson, one of the best midfielders of his day, has given an emphatic verdict on Tielemans.
He told the Daily Mail that the Belgian would be “an absolutely brilliant free transfer.
Robson added: “Has Premier League and international experience, you rarely see him have a bad game.

“Gets some decent goals which are often spectacular and is a good athlete.”

Despite Leicester’s woes, Tielemans has still been performing fairly well for his side.
He has played 7.49 progressive passes per game and is in the top 86% percentile for passes attempted (FBref).
Tielemans has also been completing 2.69 tackles and 1.59 interceptions per game.
However, Arsenal’s continued hesitation doesn’t bode well for the player’s hopes of arriving at N5.
If they really wanted him, they’d have gone for him already.
We’ll see what happens. If Arsenal don’t sign him, then there are other big clubs reportedly waiting in the wings.
The likes of Newcastle United, Liverpool and Manchester United are said to be eyeing Tielemans too.
