Almost 3 weeks after the precious southwest Florida eagle Harriet vanished from her nest in North Fort Myers, some new visitors have made an appearance.
The beloved bird is often watched by millions of viewers via a series of eagle cams. The Southwest Florida Eagle Cam streams constant coverage of her nest. The 24/7 live stream provides entertainment and important updates on Harriet the eagle, and her family.
The project was originally started in 2012 and has gone on to foster appreciation and admiration for the great birds. Positioned in a Slash Pine tree in North Fort Myers, the cameras sit 60 feet above the ground.

Southwest Florida eagle Harriet hasn’t been spotted in weeks
Harriet was last seen on Thursday, February 2, 2023, when she reportedly flew away from her nest to ward off predators and protect her two eaglets, E21 and E22. She also left behind her partner, known as M-15.
Many of her fans, and officials, are worried. Some even banded together in recent weeks to search for the eagle, yet discovered nothing.
Ginnie Pritchett McSpadden, a member of the family involved in the Southwest Florida Eagle Cam released a saddening statement:
“We’ve searched our property many times and many viewers have mentioned that they have done their own searched on public property… Unfortunately, we just haven’t found anything related to her.”
Sadly, the southwest Florida eagle Harriet has still not been found.

With Harriet’s location still unknown, many are still tuning in to keep an eye on her beloved family.
However, the eagle’s partner M-15 has had more than one visitor. Three different eagles have been spotted visiting Harriet’s nest, with M-15 allowing them to remain somewhat close so far. They first appeared over a week ago, and M-15 seems to be remaining hospitable.
Although some thought one of the three eagles could be Harriet, Pritchett McSpadden has stated they know Harriet’s specific markings. Unfortunately, none of the three visiting birds match Harriet’s appearance.
However, there is a chance that one of the newcomers could become a potential new mate for M-15 down the line.
