SOPHIA Bush and her girlfriend Ashlyn Harris have attended the White House Correspondents’ Dinner days after the actress came out as queer.
Earlier this week, the One Tree Hill alum opened up about her sexuality in a revealing feature with Glamour.
Sophia, 41, showed off her fit figure as she hit the red carpet in a form-fitting, strapless black gown.
The dress featured reflective gold ornamentations up the center that appeared to be in the shapes of flowers, raindrops, and the Sun.
She wore her long, brunette hair parted down the middle, allowing it to fall gracefully over her shoulders in relaxed, natural waves.
The Chicago P.D. star had her makeup touched to perfection as she posed outside the White House Correspondent’s Dinner with her girlfriend, Ashlyn Harris, 38.
The former United States women’s national soccer team goalkeeper donned a black, lapel-less, two-piece suit with gold ornamentation on the cuffs.
Her jacket sported a little more razzle than her partner’s as the front was covered with shiny black sequins.
Ashlyn’s short blonde hair was styled up and out of her face and left to fall over the back of her neck in loose curls.
On Thursday, Sophia revealed she’s queer and dating Ashlyn in her exposé with Glamour.
The John Tucker Must Die star talked about her new romance as she told Glamour, “During the summer of 2023, I moved back into my empty home in LA.”
“I was separated and preparing to file for divorce, and groups of women in my life started opening up about issues they were going through in their own homes.”
Sophia continued, “It seemed like every week there were more of us, including Ashlyn, whom I’d first met in 2019 and who was in the process of figuring out her own split from her wife.”
The Incredibles 2 actress revealed, “[Ashlyn] a kind ear for those of us who opened up about our problems during a shared weekend of speaking engagements at a fancy conference in Cannes, and soon it became clear that she needed our ears too.”
SUPPORT SYSTEM
Reeling from her heartbreak, Sophia moved on with the 38-year-old retired soccer star.
“I didn’t expect to find love in this support system,” the actress confided.
She admitted, “I don’t know how else to say it other than I didn’t see it until I saw it.
“And I think it’s very easy not to see something that’s been in front of your face for a long time when you’d never looked at it as an option and you had never been looked at as an option.”
“What I saw was a friend with her big, happy life.”
“And now I know she thought the same thing about me,” Sophia revealed .
“I finally feel like I can breathe. I don’t think I can explain how profound that is.
Sophia stated, “I feel like I was wearing a weighted vest for who knows how long. I hadn’t realized how heavy it was until I finally just put it down.”

In September 2023, Ashlynn filed for divorce from her ex-wife, Ali Krieger, according to Today.
The former pair, who share children Sloane, three, and Ocean, one, split after nearly four years of marriage.
Sophia and her ex-husband Grant Hughes began dating in May 2020.
The former couple announced their engagement a year later in August 2021.
The pair tied the knot in June 2022 but about seven weeks after celebrating their first anniversary, The Hitcher actress filed for divorce from the philanthropist.
It wasn’t long before Sophia removed the name Hughes from her Instagram bio.
A source close to the situation spoke to People about the split.
“Sophia and Grant were friends for 10 years and bonded during COVID through their love of community service,” the source said.
“They continue to run their nonprofit together and remain good friends.”
