With Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea preparing to square up against each other on Sunday, we have decided to make a combined XI of players from both teams.
Tottenham Hotspur-Chelsea combined XI
Goalkeeper: Chelsea ace Kepa edges this one
Much like Jamie Carragher, many have recommended Tottenham to sell Hugo Lloris over the years, especially after he is enduring another error-prone season, as opposed to Kepa Arrizabala, who makes the cut in our combined XI.
While the Spaniard has started only 15 Premier League games, he has emerged as a solid, if not spectacular presence for Graham Potter.
Right wing-back: Chelsea go 2-0 up with Reece James emerging as the clear winner
While Emerson Royal has been praised for being in encouraging form by Tim Sherwood via Premier League Productions off late, he has largely been poor in a Spurs shirt
The same cannot be said about Reece James, who is arguably the best right-back in the world, which is why the Chelsea man slots straight into our combined XI ahead of the Tottenham defender.
Centre-backs: 2 from Tottenham, 1 from Chelsea in our combined XI
A combination of disappointing displays and injuries have meant both sides’ defences have struggled this season.
However, from both Tottenham and Chelsea, the 3 centre-backs that have been the best out of a bad bunch have been Cristian Romero , Eric Dier and Thiago Silva, which is why they are the centre-back trio in our combined XI.
While Romero has been rather underwhelming since the World Cup, Dier has largely been a reliable presence while the Brazilian veteran still has a claim for being the most complete central defender on the planet.

Left wing-back: Tottenham man Perisic wins this one because of the Cucurella problem
Considering Manchester City-linked Ben Chilwell has largely been injured, Marc Cucurella has been the Blues’ first-choice left-back and the lesser said about his performances, the better.
While Ivan Perisic has not managed to set the world alight at Tottenham, he has been significantly better than the calamitous Spaniard in a Chelsea shirt, which is why he strolls into our combined XI.
Midfield: The Tottenham duo win this one comfortably
At Stamford Bridge, the likes of N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic have suffered their usual injury woes, while the likes of Mason Mount, Conor Gallagher and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have struggled to impress.

Considering Enzo Fernandez joined Chelsea only in January, the ‘incredible’ Rodrigo Bentancur as well as the in-form Pierre Emile-Hojbjerg from Tottenham comprise the Tottenham-heavy midfield duo in our combined XI.
Front 3: A surprising Chelsea superstar makes our combined XI
While this may be contradictory to our rationale regarding Enzo Fernandez, Son Heung-min’s shocker of a season meant the Blues’ most in-form forward had to slot into the side in Joao Felix, who has looked the part in his 2 games at the club.
The Chelsea forward is unsurprisingly joined by Tottenham duo Dejan Kulusevski and Harry Kane to make up a frightening front 3.
