Snapchat users noticed that the notifications on the app have not been working in 2023 and some are not happy.
Users noticed that the app has not been working properly and it has left them disappointed. Especially because Snapchat has become a popular platform where people use different filters to interact with others.

Users complain Snapchat notifications
On April 3, many users noticed that Snapchat notifications were not working. Some were disappointed because it led to their streak breaking.
It did not take long for them to head to Twitter to express their thoughts. One user wrote: “Snapchat notifications are not going through.”
Another added: “I’m not receiving notifications even though they’re turned on. They worked earlier but they’re not now. Why is this?”
Others replied to the tweet and noted that they had been experiencing the same as one wrote: “same for me” and another added, “Also same for me”. “Snapchat I need notifications,” said one more.

Why is this happening?
In response to one of the users, Snapchat stated that users can experience this if they have recently updated their app.
“If you’ve recently updated the app, you may have some trouble with notifications. Don’t worry though, this is usually temporary. In the meantime, please check that you’ve enabled notifications in your account settings.”

How to enable notifications on the app
If you are unclear about how to enable the notifications on the app, just follow the steps mentioned below:
- Click on your profile that appears on top of the screen.
- Click on the settings icon.
- Select “notifications” from the list of option that appears.
- Toggle between the button to turn it on or off.
If you want to control notifications for the stories you follow, do as mentioned below:
- Tap on your profile photo that appears on top.
- Tap the settings icon.
- Click on “notifications.”
- Select “manage story notifications.”
- Tap the name of each Snapchatter that you want Story notifications from
- Click on “done” once you have completed the process.
Keep in mind, you can control the story notification only if you have your notifications turned on.
