February’s fourth and final Pokemon GO Spotlight Hour is upon us, this time featuring the sloth Pokemon, Slakoth, but can it be shiny?
The Spotlight Hour comes fresh after the Pokemon GO Tour: Hoenn event, which saw Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon make their debuts in Raids.
Slakoth is the perfect Pokemon to follow the fast-paced event, with players likely looking to chill out a little now. It follows Pidgey, Woobat and Jigglypuff in the Spotlight Hour this month.
So, looking ahead, let’s see if Slakoth can be shiny during the February Pokemon GO Spotlight Hour and what bonuses will be active for players.
SLAKOTH SPOTLIGHT HOUR DATE, START TIME AND BONUSES
The Slakoth Spotlight Hour takes place on the last day of the month, February 28, and runs between 6 pm and 7 pm in your local time zone.
The event will grant players double Candy for every Pokemon that they capture, meaning it’s a good opportunity to grab yourself a bunch of Slaking.
CAN SLAKOTH BE SHINY IN THE POKEMON GO FEBRUARY 2023 SPOTLIGHT HOUR?
Capping off a perfect month for shiny hunters, Slakoth CAN be shiny during the February 28 Pokemon GO Spotlight Hour.

The Slakoth evolution line, which includes both Vioroth and Slaking, was part of Pokemon GO’s 18th Community Day all the way back in June 2019.
Unfortunately, unlike the Community Day it first featured in, Slakoth won’t have increased shiny odds.
Back during the June 2019 event, the Pokemon had a one in 25 chance of being shiny, during this month’s Spotlight Hour, it only has a roughly one in 500 chance. If you’re looking out for one, you’ll need to start grinding!

Thankfully, shiny Slakoth is easy to differentiate from its non-shiny counterpart.
Rather than having beige fur, a shiny Slakoth will be bright pinky purple!
