Lodi Police Department in CA confirmed that a recovery dive and rescue team has ended searches for missing Jacob VanZant after a vehicle had been found.
Jacob disappeared after picking up food at Shangri La Asian Bistro & Sushi Bar in Lodi back on February 17 this year.
The 24-year-old Stockton man has been reported a missing person since then and there were search attempts from authorities and other groups both in Lodi and Stockton.

Adventures With Purpose have put an end to their search efforts for missing Jacob.
In a Facebook post last weekend, the group confirmed they found a 2004 white Honda Pilot at the end of Eight Mile Road between Lodi and Stockton in California.
The group claimed that they believed remains found in the car to be those of Jacob Vanzant, the missing 24-year-old man out of Stockton, CA.
In the post, Adventures With Purpose added that they found the vehicle 18 feet underwater and 150 feet from the shore.
Adventures With Purpose is a community-funded search team that specializes in recovery and underwater rescue.
What have the police said?
Lodi Police Department has been notified after the rescue team found the white Honda Pilot and his body remains in the vehicle.
The police department said that they were aware of the remains in the vehicle but that they wouldn’t comment until a medical examiner has identified the body.
According to videos on YouTube, Jacob’s family had asked the specialized recovery dive team to commence the search efforts.
Jacob disappeared in February
Jacob was reported missing by his girlfriend and family after picking up food at Shangri La Asian Bistro & Sushi Bar in Lodi in February.
The young man never returned home and a missing person flyer was placed in the restaurant and other places in Stockton and Lodi by family members.
In the same Facebook post, AWP added: “AWP will release further information during the live stream. A full edit of our search and recovery efforts will be available in the next few weeks.”
