Juventus are reportedly keeping tabs on LOSC Lille attacker Timothy Weah as a potential summer signing, with Everton also chasing the USA international.
According to Goal journalist Romeo Agresti, the 23-year-old Ligue 1 star has caught the eye of Juventus’ scouts based on his attacking versatility and his experience playing top-flight football in France over the years, with the Old Lady keen to fresh their forward options.
Agresti said on Juventus’ interest in signing Weah this summer: “A winger Juventus have followed for some time is Timothy Weah from Lille. His profile is what Juve’s scouts are looking for, and the fact he can also play as a striker is beneficial.”
Juventus are far from alone in their interest of Weah, though, with L’Equipe recently reporting that Everton are chasing the New York-born talent ahead of the upcoming transfer window, where Sean Dyche is expected to also completely overhaul the Merseyside club’s attacking line.

Indeed, with a valuation of just £13m, Weah could be a cheap pickup for many top clubs this summer, with the winger himself likely to be keen on a move away from Lille given that the French side have opted to play the forward as a fullback on both the left and right this season.

And whilst Everton would have been a logical next step, interest from Juventus could be a killer for the Toffees given just how big the Italian giants are and their recent success in developing an American talent in on-loan Leeds United star Weston McKennie.
Juventus signing Weah will sting for Everton

Weah has shown the he has the quality to play at the highest level in football, and for Everton, the winger making the move to Juventus will sting for Dyche, who could have done with an attacker of the American’s quality and potential in the Toffees squad.
As we know, Everton’s forward options are stale, to say the least, and an overhaul in the department this summer could be what takes the Goodison Park side from another Premier League relegation battle to up into midtable, with Weah an ideal bargain signing.
