Newcastle United and Sunderland are ‘very keen’ on Republic of Ireland starlet Sean Moore while Premier League outfit West Ham have now seen another offer batted away by Cliftonville.
Back in February, Moore’s former Northern Ireland youth coach Gerard Lyttle indicated that West Ham made ‘an offer’ in the region of £200,000 for arguably the most exciting teenage talent on the other side of the sea.
The size of that follow-up bid, however, has not yet been disclosed. One thing we can say with a degree of confidence, though, is that it was not enough to twist the arm of a Cliftonville side making it clear that they will not be forced into letting their prized asset go without a fight.

The Belfast Telegraph say that West Ham’s new bid fell short of Cliftonville’s asking price. David Moyes side are the only one to submit a ‘firm offer’, but they are unlikely to be the last. Stoke City are interested. As are north east neighbours Newcastle and Sunderland.
Celtic were also linked back in January.
West Ham make another bid for Cliftonville’s Sean Moore
Moore recently switched his international allegiance from Northern Ireland to the Republic. He has scored six goals and set up three more this season. All but one of those nine goal contributions have come in the Northern Irish Premiership, Cliftonville sitting third behind Linfield and top-of—the-table Larne.
Likened to one Lionel Messi by Cliftonville legend Marty Quinn due to his jinking stride and lovely left boot; Moore will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of some of Ireland’s finest exports if he does indeed follow the likes of Seamus Coleman across the water (Belfast Telegraph).

“(Moore is a) special talent,” Cliftonville coach Paddy McLaughlin beams. “He’s going to be a star and it’s there for all to see.
“Anybody who’s been watching our games can see that his ability is exceptional. And that’s why he’s been getting so much attention off the pitch.”
“(Moore is) flying in the Irish League,” Republic’s U19 coach Tom Mohan tells Belfast Live. “Cliftonville are right up there at the top, he’s scored key goals in big games, creating chances. (Moore) has gone from strength to strength.”
“He’s a very good player. Any young player that can play senior football, to go in and play at that level, perform against the teams he has performed against, it speaks volumes for him as a player and as a person too.
“I was made aware about Sean, he was keen to come and we were keen to get him. He’s done really well and I am looking forward to having him in camp.”
