Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing up the likes of Orkun Kokcu and Santiago Gimenez having scouted Feyenoord in action against Ajax.
A truly chaotic game between two of the great rivals in European football, Feyenoord v Ajax was a wild occasion in midweek.
Just weeks after Feyenoord’s historic win in Amsterdam, Ajax headed to De Kuip for a cup tie – and claimed some kind of revenge.
Ajax claimed a 2-1 win in Rotterdam against a backdrop of a stadium being engulfed by smoke and an Ajax player being hit with an object from the crowd.
This wasn’t a particularly proud night for Dutch football and it seems a number of scouts were in attendance for the game.
The Mirror report that Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Brighton and Hove Albion, Leicester City, West Ham United and Brentford all sent scouts to Rotterdam.
It’s stated that those clubs were watching Feyenoord duo Orkun Kokcu and Santiago Gimenez ahead of the summer window.

Orkun Kokcu and Santiago Gimenez make sense for Tottenham
Tottenham may not have a director of football right now due to Fabio Paratici’s absence, but they clearly need a number of signings.

A creative midfield player and another striker will likely be on Tottenham’s wish list.
Kokcu has been playing in a deep role on Arne Slot’s 4-2-3-1 setup but his attacking numbers have been very impressive.
12 goals and three assists in 37 games is hugely impressive and Kokcu has again shown what a brilliant, technically-gifted midfielder he is for Feyenoord.
Hailed as ‘dominant’ by Slot, Kokcu can provide the guile that Tottenham don’t really have in midfield right now.
Gimenez only joined Feyenoord from Cruz Azul last season but has made a huge impact for the Eredivisie leaders.
The Mexican attacker has bagged 17 goals in 36 appearances for Feyenoord this season and has particularly impressed in the Europa League.
Tottenham need to have striker signings in mind in case Harry Kane moves on, or if Richarlison is viewed as more of a winger moving forward.
Gimenez fits the bill as a talented young forward and amid strong rumours that Tottenham have been making contact for manager Slot, Spurs could yet try to sign two Feyenoord players too.
