Tottenham are now drawing up a list of possible replacements for Antonio Conte after crashing out of the Champions League.
What’s the story?
Well – according to The Athletic – Daniel Levy is said to have asked Fabio Paratici to construct a list of managers he feels would be suitable alternatives to the Italian as doubts arise over his future in north London.
Conte’s contract expires in July regardless, although the 53-year-old himself admitted that he could be sacked when speaking to the media after Wednesday evening’s 0-0 draw against AC Milan.
Luis Enrique is said to be a leading contender on Paratici’s shortlist, while Oliver Glasner – who manages Eintracht Frankfurt – is another potential appointment.
Sporting Lisbon tactician Ruben Amorim – who rejected Aston Villa in 2022 before the Villans hired Unai Emery – is another coach who Tottenham admire.

The 38-year-old has forged a reputation as one of the brightest young managers in Europe, after guiding the Portuguese giants to their first league title in 19 years back in 2021.
Paratici is also said to admire Luciano Spalletti – the Italian currently has his Napoli side sat 15 points clear at the top of Serie A.
Tottenham have to get Conte replacement right
Levy is not exactly the most popular man in N17 right now.
The 60-year-old has lost the support of Tottenham’s fanbase following 15 years without silverware and a number of strange managerial appointments, while the sacking of fan favourite Mauricio Pochettino in 2019 has backfired tremendously.

As proven winners like José Mourinho and Conte fail at Spurs, Levy simply has to get his next appointment right.
Quite fairly, there is little faith that he will – given the amount of poor hires over the years – but some of the names on Paratici’s list, such as Amorim, Glasner and Spalletti should certainly encourage the supporters.
