Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Leicester City all need a new manager but Real Betis and La Liga boss Manuel Pellegrini will not be returning to the Premier League any time soon.
With his 70th birthday only a few months away, it’s safe to say Pellegrini would not be a long-term appointment for a club in need of a change in the dugout. But Leicester, in particular, are a team in need of a short-term solution. A quick fix, if you will.
Brendan Rodgers left the King Power Stadium on Sunday with Leicester second-from-bottom in the Premier League table. Whoever takes his place will be under pressure to spark an immediate turnaround at a club who appear to be sleepwalking into the Championship, just two years after defeating Chelsea and Manchester City at Wembley to claim both the FA Cup and the Community Shield.

Graham Potter, talkSPORT say, has already rejected their advances. Manuel Pellegrini, Estadio Deportivo add, will not parachute into the King Power either. Or Stamford Bridge, for that matter.
La Liga boss Manuel Pellegrini is staying at Real Betis
The veteran Chilean is reportedly loving life at Real Betis, and could yet extend a contract which still has another two years to run. Pellegrini was recently rewarded for his efforts with a substantial pay rise too. He currently earns £5.6 million-a-year, or £110,000-a-week, if you will.
Pellegrini, a former Real Madrid and Villarreal boss who guided Manchester City to the Premier League title in 2014, has Real Betis dreaming of Champions League qualification. He also brought an end to Los Verdiblancos’ near 20-year trophy drought last season, winning the Copa del Rey.
“I am really impressed with him as a coach. I would like to be like him,” Pep Guardiola, who succeeded Pellegrini at the Etihad Stadium, told The Mirror a decade ago.

“For me, it is always a pleasure to play against Manuel. He loves to play the right way. He always tries to keep the ball, his teams always keep possession and try to play football.”
Will Adi Hutter or Rafa Benitez take over at Leicester City?
Chelsea and Tottenham appear to be going head-to-head for former Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann. Leicester City, meanwhile, could bring in a highly-experienced, highly-proven tactician in the Pellegrini mould with former Liverpool, Newcastle and Stamford Bridge boss Rafa Benitez on the lookout for a fresh challenge (Super Deporte).
Ex-Bundesliga boss Adi Hutter is also refusing to rule out a move to the relegation-threatened Foxes.
“My big goal is the Premier League. (My agent and I) are working on that,” Hutter tells Kicker. “There may be one or another option.
“(The Premkier League is) the most interesting league in the world. I could develop further there. There is no boring football there, it goes up and down.
“So I think my idea of football is very good in this league could fit. Especially since there are many fast players there.”
