Newcastle United want Harry Maguire but could face competition from Leicester City for the Manchester United defender this summer.
The Magpies just beat the Red Devils 2-0 at St James’ Park, producing an impressive display on Sunday afternoon.
This comes amid rumours that Newcastle are eyeing up a couple of Manchester United players for this summer.
Scott McTominay is one of them but he didn’t really have his best day in Erik ten Hag’s midfield.
The other is Harry Maguire, who was an unused substitute on Sunday.
90Min reported in March that Newcastle United are interested in signing Maguire at the end of the season.
Maguire now appears to be fourth-choice centre back at Old Trafford right now and a move to Newcastle would surely appeal.
Other Premier League clubs will be keen though and one of them could offer Maguire an emotional move.

The Sun now report that Leicester City are interested in re-signing Maguire this summer.

It’s suggested that Leicester would like to take Maguire back to the King Power Stadium some four years since he left for Old Trafford.
The report does though suggest that Brendan Rodgers was particularly keen on such a move.
Rodgers lost his job on Sunday and that could throw a spanner in the works for Leicester.
Add in that the Foxes are in real danger of dropping into the Championship and a Maguire return is in the balance.
Maguire, 30, will need to leave United this summer in search of first-team action.
The England international has only started five Premier League games this season and that just isn’t good enough.
Eddie Howe has shown a liking for experienced Premier League signings, so whilst Maguire wouldn’t exactly set pulses racing, he could fit the bill.
Maguire may have emotional ties to Leicester but he would surely prefer a move to an upwardly-mobile Newcastle side this summer.
