Newcastle United are now rivalling Tottenham Hotspur for the signature of Watford talent Adrian Blake this summer.
That’s according to The Athletic, who claim that Blake is attracting major interest.
It’s noted that Blake’s scholarship deal with Watford comes to an end this summer.
That means the Hornets are in real danger of losing Blake with Newcastle and Tottenham very interested.
Teams in Europe are also looking to land Blake, seemingly trying to take advantage of his contract situation.
Watford are now seemingly trying to show Blake that he does have a pathway to first-team football at Vicarage Road.
Blake has been promoted to the first-team squad at Watford with the 17-year-old pulled out of Under-21 duty.
Whether this is enough to convince Blake remains to be seen as Newcastle and Tottenham lurk.

Who is Newcastle and Tottenham target Adrian Blake?
Blake hails from Islington but seemingly slipped past the Arsenal radar as he joined the Watford ranks in 2013.
The 17-year-old has now made two first-team appearances for Watford, featuring in EFL Cup and FA Cup games.
Primarily a winger, Blake has made a big impact in the FA Youth Cup this season, bagging a goal and two assists in three games.
Blake is likely to earn England youth call-ups in the near future but the Three Lions will need to move quickly – Blake can also play for Jamaica.
Blake has previously admitted that he bases his game on Eden Hazard and loves to take players on down the left flank.
Newcastle have been making a concerted push to bolster their youth and development ranks in recent times and Blake could be a major addition – if they can beat Tottenham in the race.
