Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is ready to sell Ainsley Maitland-Niles in the summer transfer window.
Arsenal ready to sell Ainsley Maitland-Niles
That’s according to The Sun, who have claimed that Arsenal are open to offers for Maitland-Niles, who can operate as a full-back or as a midfielder.
The 25-year-old Englishman is on loan at Southampton at the moment.
Maitland-Niles is scheduled to return to Arsenal at the end of the season.
The midfielder is under contract at the Gunners until the summer of 2024.
In October 2022, Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale said on BT Sport that Kieran Tierney and Maitland-Niles are the two fastest players on the books of the Gunners.

HITC Verdict: Permanent exit likely
In our view, it is unlikely that Ainsley Maitland-Niles will be at Arsenal beyond the end of the season.

The midfielder is clearly not in Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta’s plans.
Why else would Arteta have sanctioned Maitland-Niles leaving Arsenal for Southampton on loan last summer?
Maitland-Niles is 25 now, and he is at the age where he needs to find a club which he can call home and be part of something special.
We believe that it would be best for all parties concerned if Maitland-Niles left Arsenal on a permanent basis at the end of the season.
For good.
