Manchester United believe that David Raya could join them despite interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea, according to a report.
Manchester United think Tottenham target David Raya could join them
GiveMeSport have reported that Manchester United are interested in signing goalkeeper Raya from Premier League rivals Brentford in the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils are looking at the 27-year-old as a potential long-term successor to David de Gea.
And United believe that Raya could move to Old Trafford.
“There is a sense that competing with De Gea in the short term, with a view to taking over as the main man, is something he would consider but would also depend on which other options open up,” states the report.
Earlier this month, journalist Graeme Bailey wrote on TEAMtalk that Tottenham are keen on signing the goalkeeper.

Raya, described as “a top-class goalkeeper” by former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen on Premier League Productions (06/03/23 at 7:35 pm), has reportedly made it clear to Brentford that he wants to leave.
Football Insider reported in February 2023 that Chelsea are interested in signing the Spain international goalkeeper in the summer transfer window.

HITC Verdict: United over Spurs for Raya
In our view, David Raya would choose Manchester United over Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.
Yes, Raya would face competition from David de Tea at Old Trafford, but United are one of the biggest clubs in the world and are a global brand.
And under manager Erik ten Hag, the Red Devils could be challenging for the Premier League title and competing in the UEFA Champions League for years to come.
