Tottenham Hotspur want Arne Slot but Crystal Palace have now made contact to try and snatch the Feyneoord boss this summer.
That is according to a report from The Sunday Mirror (16/04, p70), who claim that Palace are pushing to land Slot.
The Eagles sacked Patrick Vieira in March and turned to their former boss Roy Hodgson to guide them away from trouble.
Hodgson looks set to do his job but Palace are looking for a long-term appointment for the summer.
It’s now stated that sporting director Dougie Freedman has made contact with the representatives of Feyenoord boss Slot.
The report claims that Palace are trying to tempt Slot away from Rotterdam at the end the season.
Tottenham and West Ham are again mentioned as being keen on Slot but Palace are ‘currently leading the chase’ having made moves for the Dutchman.
That’s a fascinating situation and Palace could land an absolutely enormous coup if they can lure Slot to South London.

Whilst a host of names have been linked in recent weeks, one of the most prominent has been Slot.
The Times were the first to report Spurs’ interest in Slot back in March having excelled in charge of Feyenoord.
The Independent added earlier this month that Tottenham have been using ‘back channels’ to try and find out if Slot is at all interested in the job.
Spurs may still be in the stage of figuring out their targets but the rival interest in Slot means Daniel Levy and co may need to think about firming up their interest.
Palace appear to be going all-in for Slot as their next boss whilst Tottenham are still thinking things over and just trying to get to the summer.
Slot will be one of the hottest properties on the market this summer as he takes Feyenoord towards the Eredivisie title and the Europa League semi-finals.
With an attacking brand of football too, Slot will be wanted for a host of jobs and Palace are trying to get a head-start on the competition.
If Spurs don’t make some firm decisions soon, Slot may well slip through their hands and end up with a London rival.
