Liverpool would like to sign Bruno Guimaraes but accept that they can’t afford to prise him away from Newcastle United.
The Reds are going to be linked with so many new midfielders over the coming weeks and months.
That area of the pitch simply has to be strengthened this summer with at least two signings – possibly more.
The Liverpool Echo have taken a look at the midfielders Liverpool want and note there is interest in Bruno Guimaraes.
Liverpool are allegedly ‘huge admirers’ of the Brazilian and would love to bring him to Anfield.
However, Liverpool are fully aware that any deal for Bruno will be a non-starter.
Newcastle don’t need to sell any time soon thanks to their riches and any price tag they put on Bruno would be well beyond Liverpool.

Jude Bellingham certainly fits the bill but so does Bruno, who was available in January of 2022.
Relegation-threatened Newcastle splashed £40million on the then-Lyon star and that has proven to be money well spent.
Bruno has become one of the top Premier League midfielders and the heartbeat of the Newcastle side.
Hailed as ‘excellent’ by Jamie Carragher in February, Bruno is the perfect all-round midfielder and exactly what Liverpool need.
They didn’t move for Bruno when he was at Lyon and now have absolutely no chance of landing him from Newcastle.
This will be a frustration for Liverpool, who will now do well to find a better midfielder than Bruno for around £40million this summer.
