Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are among the clubs who are interested in signing Micky van de Ven from VfL Wolfsburg in the summer transfer window, according to Bild journalist Christian Falk in CaughtOffSide.
The journalist has reported that Liverpool are scouting the 21-year-old Dutch defender.
Other clubs are also keen on the Wolfsburg defender, including Manchester City.
Falk has given further details on the kind of player Van de Ven is.
The youngster signed a new contract with VfL Wolfsburg earlier this month.
Marcel Schäfer, managing director for sport for the German outfit described Van de Ven as “a player with huge potential” who “has shown incredible development” on the club’s official website.
Liverpool linked with Micky van de Ven
Falk wrote: “The player is talented and very fast for a centre-back – 35.9km per hour; that’s really quick for such a player.
“He has a contract until 2027 and no release clause but Wolfsburg would be prepared to talk if they received an offer of €30m.

“The player himself has said he has no problem with staying another year but has also mentioned he’s open for a switch to Spain and the Premier League. So he’s already thinking about his future.
“Many clubs are scouting him at the moment, it’s a really long list; Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus, Roma, AC Milan… so you see, he’s a very attractive option.
“It’s not the case that he feels he has to leave this summer but I think if he keeps up the quality of his performances this season, next summer one of these clubs will be prepared to pay what Wolfsburg are looking for.”

Could Liverpool sign the centre-back?
In our view, Liverpool could struggle to sign Micky van de Ven from VfL Wolfsburg in the summer transfer window.
Yes, the transfer fee is not much, but just look at the other clubs who are keen on hm.
Barcelona, Inter Milan and AC Milan all are big clubs.
We believe that without UEFA Champions League football, Liverpool could really struggle to bring the Dutchman to Anfield, especially if he has the option to move to a club like Barcelona who regularly challenge for the La Liga title and compete in the UEFA Champions League.
