Liverpool are interested in snapping up Ajax talent Devyne Rensch as they consider adding competition for Trent Alexander-Arnold at right back.
The Reds did actually sign a right back last summer as Calvin Ramsay arrived from Aberdeen.
The Scot is certainly one for the future though and may even be loaned out this summer in order to get regular playing time.
That means Liverpool may look to add another right back option and Give Me Sport claim Ajax talent Rensch is on the radar.
It’s suggested that Liverpool want Rensch as a player to really push Alexander-Arnold and spark him into top form again.
Liverpool aren’t alone in this transfer race though as Manchester United are also keen on Rensch.
Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag coached Rensch at Ajax and actually gave him his first-team debut with the Amsterdam giants.
That means Liverpool will have to put out all the stops if they want to stop another Ajax player heading to Old Trafford.

Who is Liverpool target Devyne Rensch?
Rensch has emerged through the famed Ajax ranks having joined the club as a teenager.

The potential was clear with Rensch as he was named Ajax’s best youth academy talent for the 2019-20 season.
A first-team debut came in November 2020 as Rensch did enough to impress Erik ten Hag.
Now-Manchester United boss Ten Hag has hailed Rensch as ‘positionally very good’ and backed him for a bright future.
Dutch managerial legend Aas de Mos has also praised Rensch as a ‘super talent’ having been dazzled by the young defender.
Rensch has dipped in and out of form though and has often ben criticised by fans in recent times.
The 20-year-old has still managed three goals in 22 Eredivisie games this season and has shown his versatility by playing at right back, centre back and left back.
A more natural defender than Alexander-Arnold, Rensch could give Liverpool a different type of right back whilst also adding depth across the back line.
