Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are interested in signing Joao Palhinha from Fulham in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Mail.

The report has claimed that Liverpool are leading the race for Palhinha and are “the most serious suitor” for the 27-year-old Portugal international, who was described as “an imposing defensive midfielder” on Fulham’s official website in July 2022.
Fulham signed the midfielder for £20 million from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2022 and now value him at £60 million, according to the report.
The Daily Mail have added that Liverpool’s number one central midfield target is Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, but he will cost over £120 million.
So, it seems that Palhinha is a potential alternative to England international midfielder Bellingham for Liverpool.

Could a summer transfer happen?
In our view, Liverpool could be able to sign Joao Palhinha from Fulham in the summer transfer window.
True, the Cottagers signed Palhinha just last summer, but Liverpool are a massive club who would be hugely attractive and appealing to the Portuguese star.
If Liverpool pay Fulham’s asking price for the defensive midfielder, then we do not think that the London club will stop him from leaving for Anfield.
Palhinha has scored three goals in 24 Premier League appearances in the Premier League so far this season.
