Liverpool want Anderlecht goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen but face a battle with Manchester United for his signature.
That’s according to Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws, who claim that both Jurgen Klopp and Erik ten Hag are ‘charmed’ by Verbruggen.
It’s stated that there is a lot of interest in Verbruggen and his representatives are seemingly dealing with a number of suitors.
The report claims that Verbruggen will now cost at least €10million (£9million) just three years after Anderlecht signed him from NAC Breda for only €300,000 (£265,000).
Anderlecht want to keep Verbruggen for at least one more year but interest from Liverpool and Manchester United could throw a spanner in the works.
It’s added that Verbruggen is an ‘excellent’ goalkeeper and he has backed to become one of the best goalkeepers in Europe by teammate Jan Vertonghen.

Who is Liverpool and Manchester United target Bart Verbruggen?
Verbruggen was born in Breda over in the Netherlands and came through the ranks with his local club, NAC Breda.
Anderlecht saw enough potential in Verbruggen and lured him over to Belgium in 2020.

Now Anderlecht’s first-choice goalkeeper, Verbruggen has already been targeted in England.
Vincent Kompany offered €5million (£4.5million) for Verbruggen last year having coached him at Anderlecht – but the Belgian club said no.
That decision looks to be paying off with Liverpool and United now keen.
Verbruggen has now earned a first call-up to the Netherlands senior squad having only appeared once for his county at youth level.
It’s clear that Verbruggen is really turning heads and he now has the chance to feature for the Netherlands alongside Virgil van Dijk.
Liverpool may well want that to happen at club level too, potentially viewing Verbruggen as a replacement for Caoimhin Kelleher and a successor to Alisson one day.
Verbruggen is a name to keep close tabs on this summer with Liverpool and United seemingly ready to do battle.
