Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United are among the clubs who are interested in signing Carlos Baleba from Lille, who want as much as £30 million to sell the midfielder they view as the next Amadou Onana, according to 90min.
Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle United and Manchester United eye Carlos Baleba
The report published this morning has claimed that Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Newcastle United, West Ham United and Leicester City all have scouted Lille midfielder Baleba this season and want to sign him in the summer transfer window.
Lille are willing to sell the 19-year-old midfielder, but the French club want as much as £30 million.
It is the same transfer fee that Everton had to pay to Lille to sign the 21-year-old Onana from Lille in the summer of 2022.

Onana and Baleba are similar players.

Too expensive
In our view, no club is going to pay £30 million for Carlos Baleba in the summer transfer window.
Yes, Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle United and Manchester United are big and wealthy clubs, but we do not think that any of them are going to spend £30 million a 19-year-old who is just starting his career.
The 19-year-old has made only three starts and nine substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for Lille so far this season.
