Leeds United are ‘welcoming’ the opportunity to sell Mateusz Bogusz with MLS outfit Los Angeles FC set to end the Polish forward’s time at the Premier League outfit, according to Cadena Cope.
At the age of 21, going on 22, Bogusz appears to have missed the boat at Elland Road.
His one and only Leeds appearance came all the way back in the 2019/20 season – when the Yorkshire giants were still a Championship outfit under the stewardship of Marcelo Bielsa – with Bogusz having spent each of the last three seasons out on loan.

Leeds United set to sell Polish playmaker Mateusz Bogusz
The Poland U21 international is currently at UD Ibiza in the Spanish second tier.
And Cadena Cope, backed up by Periodico de Ibiza, believe that Bogusz will soon be packing his bags and heading across the Atlantic. LAFC are reportedly closing in on a deal that will see the skilful attacker arrive in the so-called ‘City of Angels’ long before the MLS transfer window closes at the end of April.
Leeds, Cope add, are ‘welcoming’ the opportunity to sell a player who’s contract expires in July. This is, after all, the last chance Leeds have to make any sort of a profit on Bogusz, four years after he arrived as a little-known teenager from Polish outfit Ruch Chorzow.

Bogusz reportedly left Ibiza’s training ground on Thursday too, bidding farewell to his team-mates. He departs with L’Eivissa sitting second-bottom in the Segunda and staring down the barrel of third-tier football for 2023/24.
“He’ll be inside the group,” Bielsa told the Yorkshire Evening Post back in 2019, indicating that Bogusz was closing in on securing a first-team spot at Elland Road.
“He has showed his skills. Now he’s very close to the team, but he has to develop a lot of things yet.”
Leeds reportedly wanted a £7 million buy-back clause included in Bogusz contract when considering selling the talented ‘number ten’ a couple of windows ago. Time will tell whether such a clause is still in the pipeline.
