Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wants to revive his interest in signing Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni at the end of the season.
That is according to a report from The Mirror, who claim that the Liverpool boss is still keen on signing Tchouameni.
The Frenchman was a top target for Liverpool last summer having excelled in the Monaco midfield.
Sadly for the Reds, Tchouameni picked a big move to Real Madrid shortly after the Spanish giants beat Liverpool in the Champions League final.
Real agreed a staggering deal worth around £85million for Tchouameni with a guaranteed £70million and the rest in add-ons.
Having missed out on Tchouameni and with Jude Bellingham unavailable, Liverpool decided not to spend on a new midfielder.
Bellingham is now out of reach for Liverpool, leaving Klopp and co to go for other midfielders in the summer.
It may be ambitious, but Klopp is back in for Tchouameni after a tricky first season in Spain.

With an £85million price tag, big things have been expected of Tchouameni.

17 La Liga starts is good going, especially with Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Federico Valverde and Eduardo Camavinga in the mix.
Yet Tchouameni hasn’t really impressed and he has been criticised by the Spanish media.
AS claimed just last month that there is ‘something wrong’ with Tchouameni and he is ‘finding it difficult’ in Spain.
They also noted that Tchouameni wasn’t offering much going forward compared to his Monaco days.
That tricky first season in Madrid may just tempt Tchouameni into joining Liverpool after all.
The Reds were gutted to miss out and would give Tchouameni an absolute starring role in Klopp’s Liverpool side.
It’s an unlikely deal as Real won’t want to give up on Tchouameni so quickly, but they do want Bellingham too.
Recouping their cash on Tchouameni to sign Bellingham isn’t completely out of the question and Liverpool may well explore this possibility.
