So, the former Serie A and UEFA Champions League winners are looking for a potential replacement for the 28-year-old Germany international left-back.
CMW have reported that Leeds left-back Junior Firpo is a player that Inter like and could sign.
The West Yorkshire club could get relegated from the Premier League to the Championship at the end of the season.
And that would make it easier for Inter to sign the former Barcelona player.

In our view, if Leeds United get relegated from the Premier League at the end of the season, then Inter Milan could be able to sign Junior Firpo in the summer transfer window.
Leeds would have to sell some of their players, and the £12.8 million (Sky Sports) 26-year-old himself could be tempted to leave.
Inter are a massive club, and the chance to turn out for the Nerazzurri could be too tempting for Junior Firppo.
The left-back has has injury problems this season, and has made six starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League for Leeds.
