West Ham United are interested in signing Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres as David Moyes prepares to rival Leeds United.
That’s according to The Sun, who claim that Moyes has taken a personal interest in Gyokeres.
It’s stated that Moyes has been watching Gyokeres ‘intently’ and even paid a personal visit to watch him last week.
Gyokeres played the full 90 minutes as Coventry smashed Blackpool 4-1, but he wasn’t able to get on the scoresheet.
West Ham had a free weekend and Moyes, who still has roots in Lancashire from his time at Preston North End, made the trip to Blackpool.
This may set up West Ham to make a summer move for Gyokeres but they will face major competition for his signature.
90Min report that Brentford, Crystal Palace, Everton, Leeds United and Leicester City all want Gyokeres.
Coventry may well sense the prospect of a bidding war here and could receive a huge fee for the striker.

Gyokeres emerged with Brommapojkarna before joining Brighton and Hove Albion in January 2018.

The Seagulls have been finding gem after gem in the transfer market but Gyokeres is one who seems to have slipped through.
Gyokeres only ever played eight times for Brighton and spent time on loan at St Pauli, Swansea City and Coventry.
The latter decided to buy Gyokeres in 2021 and that move has worked out brilliantly.
Gyokeres has smashed 37 goals in 86 games since joining the Sky Blues permanently, including 19 so far this season alone.
The 24-year-old is seen as a key part of the Sweden squad moving forward and he has already picked up 12 caps.
Hailed as ‘unbelievable’ by boss Mark Robins, Gyokeres has become one of the Championship’s top talents.
Moyes loves to shop in the Championship and may well believe that Gyokeres can become the new Jarrod Bowen at West Ham.
