Jahm Najafi has been spotted with Daniel Levy, but Everton are his current investment priority and not Tottenham Hotspur.
That’s according to The Sun, who claim that Najafi met with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy on Friday.
The pair were spotted together ahead of the Bahrain Grand Prix with Najafi currently serving as the vice-chairman of McLaren’s F1 team.
The Daily Mail (16/02, back page), suggested that Najafi was set to make a bid totalling £3.1billion for Tottenham.
That report suggested that a Tottenham takeover was ‘impossible’ even if Najafi was interested in a deal.
Yet it’s now claimed that Najafi meeting with Levy had nothing to do with a Tottenham takeover and it wasn’t even a topic of discussion.
That’s because Najafi’s focus is currently on Tottenham’s Premier League rivals Everton.
It’s stated that Najafi plans to take a stake in Everton in the near future and may even contribute funds for the club’s new stadium.
Whether that ends up becoming a full takeover or not remains to be seen but Najafi seems to fancy Everton.

Farhad Moshiri is seemingly open to giving up some of his shares in Everton and another part-Iranian businessman could swoop in with Najafi keen.

Who is Jahm Najafi?
Najafi, 60, has enjoyed a wide-ranging career, starting on Wall Street with Salomon Brothers before becoming CEO of Pivotal Private Equity.
Najafi has moved into sport in recent times and holds a stake in the Phoenix Suns over in the NBA whilst also being a governor on the NBA board.
As mentioned earlier, Najafi also holds a key role on the McLaren F1 team.
Private-equity firm Najafi Companies is now Najafi’s main business, which focuses on investments worth up to $1billion.
Najafi has a net worth of around $3.5 billion according to The Paddock Magazine as of 2021.
Everton may be seen as the ideal club to invest in rather than put money into an established top six club in Tottenham.
Toffees fans would certainly welcome more investment and will be delighted to know that Tottenham seemingly aren’t on Najafi’s radar after all.
