Report: Bayern outline new transfer approach for 29-year-old Tottenham star, Levy will be delighted

Bayern Munich are reportedly reluctant to be dragged into a bidding war this summer to sign Harry Kane, who has been heavily linked with a move to the German giants.

According to the Mirror, the Bavarian side remain interested in the 29-year-old Tottenham attacker, however, Bayern will not be sucked into paying a club-record fee to sign Kane, with Daniel Levy expected to demand well over £100m for the England captain.

As per the report, this news could be a massive boost for Manchester United, who alongside Bayern have been strongly linked with a summer swoop for Kane, with this update something that could give Erik Ten Hag’s side a clear advantage in a potential transfer.

With Kane finally expected to leave Tottenham, Bayern’s latest stance could cause some interesting outcomes in the summer, with United now potentially thinking they are the favourites to land the striker in what could be one of the biggest transfers of the window.

Indeed, whilst Bayern would have been an incredible fit for the England superstar, there’s a lot of logic behind their reasoning on not getting sucked into a bidding war. And for Kane, the chance to move to United could now be firmly on the cards.

Kane will be a man in demand this summer with the striker set to finally leave his boyhood club in search of success beyond individual awards, and with Bayern now setting their shop out, the German side have more or less handed the transfer battle to sign the forward to United.

As we know, the Red Devils could be one of the biggest spenders in the market this summer as Ten Hag looks to add more pieces to the United puzzle, and Kane’s profile is too perfect for the Manchester giants to pass up on, especially with Bayern now unwilling to break the bank.
