Arsenal continue to be linked with Feyenoord star Orkun Kokcu but now face a battle with Brighton and Hove Albion.
The Arsenal links with Kokcu have been going on for years now.
The Daily Mail reported way back in 2020 that Arsenal were hoping to get a deal done for Kokcu before Euro 2020.
The global pandemic hit soon after and Kokcu has ended up staying at Feyenoord rather than moving on.
The Sun claim that Arsenal have been following Kokcu for ‘some time’ now alongside Leicester City.
That report notes that Brighton and Hove Albion have now joined the race to sign Kokcu this summer.
Kokcu has become a prime Seagulls target given the question marks surrounding Alexis Mac Allister’s future.
Arsenal now face a battle for Kokcu if they do want to make a move this summer, having tracked the Feyenoord ace for so long.

Born in Haarlem, Kokcu was in the ranks of a number of clubs as a kid, including Groningen.

Feyenoord snapped him up back in 2014 and the midfielder is now heading towards a decade at De Kuip.
Kokcu has racked up more than 150 appearances for Feyenoord, bagging 32 goals and 25 assists.
Kokcu may hail from the Netherlands but he plays for Turkey on the international stage, recording 20 caps for his country.
A talented midfield player, Kokcu has always had ability on the ball but has really improved off it under Arne Slot.
The Feyenoord boss has hailed Kokcu as ‘dominant’ but feels he may be ‘at his ceiling’ in Rotterdam.
That opens the door for a summer move and Arsenal may well be keeping tabs on Kokcu for a summer move.
