Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are competing with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool for Benfica defensive midfielder Florentino Luis, according to 90min.

The report has claimed that Tottenham and Liverpool scouted Luis in action for Benfica against Famalicao last week.
Benfica won the Portuguese Primeira game 2-0 and remain at the top of the league table.
Both Liverpool and Tottenham had scouts present at the match to watch the 23-year-old defensive midfielder in action, according to 90min, who have also claimed that Spurs are in touch with Adrien Rabiot’s camp over a potential deal as a free agent in the summer of 2023.
This is not the first time that scouts from clubs in the Premier League have watched the Portuguese player in action this season.
Goal reported last month that Arsenal have been monitoring the young defensive midfielder and have scouted him this season.

Former Benfica coach Joao Tralhao has described Luis in Goal as “amazing” and “a proper team player”.

Florentino Luis is one of the best young defensive midfielders in Portugal, and we are not surprised at all to hear that Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are interested in the 23-year-old.
The Portuguese youngster is consistently very good.
So far this season, the 23-year-old has given three assists in 23 Portuguese league matches and has playd seven times in the UEFA Champions League.
