AC Milan could reportedly step up efforts to sign rumoured Leeds United target Fabiano Parisi, with the Empoli defender attracting interest from Italy’s biggest clubs.
According to TuttoeMercatoWeb, the Rossoneri’s transfer chiefs ‘really like’ the look of the 22-year-old fullback, who has enjoyed a breakout year in Serie A having bagged two goals and an assist, with Milan joining the likes of Leeds in the race to sign the defender.
TuttoMercatoWeb reported in January that the Whites remain hot on Parisi’s tail, with the likes of Everton and Wolves also chasing the youngster. However, Milan’s interest could be the biggest threat to the Elland Road side given the stature of the club.
Milan famously beat Leeds to Charles De Ketelaere last summer, and the San Siro side could now repeat this swoop with the £13m-rated Parisi, who looks set to leave Empoli at the end of this season according to the player’s agent himself.

Indeed, with Parisi an Italian international, a move to Milan would make sense for the young defender, with Stefano Pioli proving to be excellent at developing talents into world-beaters in recent seasons with the Rossoneri, which could spell big trouble for Leeds.

Whilst the Premier League would be an appealing move for Parisi, there’s no denying that moving to a bigger club in Italy that regularly competes for trophies and in Europe would be a better career move than signing for a top-flight English club that are battling for relegation on what could now be an annual occurrence.
Milan should breeze past Leeds in battle to sign Parisi

Leeds have been beaten by bigger clubs for top talents ever since their return to the Premier League, and this summer could be the one that the Whites miss out on Parisi, who could be keen on signing for Milan rather than a move to Yorkshire.
The Italian defender has proved his worth this season with Empoli, and with Milan in the market for a new left-back, Parisi is too perfect a signing for the Rossoneri to miss out on, much to the dismay of Leeds, who look set to miss out on another target to the Italian side.
