Tottenham manager news: Reliable journalist shares how Boehly feels about Nagelsmann appointment

Sky journalist Florian Plettenburg has given an insight into how Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly feels about appointing Julian Nagelsmann, who seems to be Tottenham Hotspur’s primary manager target.

It was claimed on Sunday that the former Bayern Munich boss is on Daniel Levy’s four-man wish list to take over the Spurs job.

But with Graham Potter’s sacking as Chelsea boss, it has been revealed how Todd Boehly internally feels about bringing Tottenham Hotspur manager target Julian Nagelsmann on board.

How Boehly feels about Nagelsmann appointment at Chelsea

Only yesterday was it reported that the Blues were keen on hiring the German tactician, labelled as a ‘top manager’ by Chris Sutton.

However, ever since Nagelsmann was relieved of his duties at the Allianz Arena, Spurs supporters have kept their fingers crossed about him accepting the vacancy in N17.

As Chelsea circle around to appoint Julian Nagelsmann as their next man in charge to the dread of Tottenham fans, it has been claimed that Todd Boehly himself is apprehensive about the move, as they would rather bring in a more ‘experienced’ manager, according to Florian Plettenburg.

Co-owner Behdad Eghbali reportedly agrees with the American entrepreneur but technical director Christopher Vivell is keen on the hiring the former RB Leipzig head coach.

Tottenham could get in their dream manager in Nagelsmann on board after all

If given a choice, one can safely assume that most managers would prefer Bruno Saltor’s men, as the club have no apprehensions when it comes to splashing the cash in the transfer market.

But as Todd Boehly himself does not seem to see Julian Nagelsmann as the next Chelsea manager, Tottenham could get their hands on him after all.

Nagelsmann’s fearless brand of football coupled with his innovative tactical ideas seems like the perfect candidate to ensure that the club heads in a new direction and seemingly, his arrival still remains a possibility.
