SINGER Mark Morrison has been arrested for allegedly shoving a restaurant manager in a fight over loud music.
The R&B star allegedly hit a worker on Saturday night after barging into the venue yelling and cursing.
Morrison, 52, is best known for his 1996 hit song Return of the Mack.
The singer stormed into Le Bar à Vin in Palm Beach, Florida, with a bone to pick on Saturday night, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Morrison was upset about an incident at the restaurant from the night before, cops said.
Fabrizio Riillo, the restaurant’s nightlife manager, told the Palm Beach Daily News Morrison brought a singer to the popular spot on Friday for an event he planned.
He repeatedly told the singer’s group to raise the volume, Riillo said.
The restaurant’s general manager, Nicola Lavacca, then told Morrison he couldn’t tell the musician to turn up the music after it got too loud, Riillo said.
“Mark Morrison came back on Saturday night looking for a fight,” Riillo said.
On Saturday, Morrison allegedly pushed Lavacca twice in the chest “with an open hand,” cops said.
Lavacca didn’t fight back – but Riillo jumped in as the argument escalated.
Riilo separated the two before asking Morrison to step outside.
Officers then arrived and arrested Morrison on a charge of simple battery.
Pictures obtained by TMZ show the singer being handcuffed in a parking lot after the alleged attack.
Morrison’s mugshot shows him looking calm with a slight smile.
He was released early on Sunday morning on a $1,000 bond.
CRIMINAL HISTORY
Morrison has run into trouble with the law several times throughout his career, which started in the mid-90s.
Just a year after putting out his smash hit song, Morrison was convicted for attempting to bring a gun on an airplane in 1997.
He served three months in jail while Return of the Mack was climbing the charts.
The next year, he was arrested after failing to appear in court on an offensive weapon charge. He was later cleared of the charge.
He also was sentenced to jail and community service for his part in a fight at a nightclub that killed one person, according to The Independent at the time.
However, Morrison hired a lookalike to do his community service while he went on tour.
He was then caught and then had to serve a year in jail.
Morrison was born in Germany and lived in Leicester, England, before moving to West Palm Beach, Florida, when he was 11.
He now has a house in Palm Beach Gardens.
