Tuesday night (March 28, 2023) saw five planets align in the night sky, so which ones are visible tonight, March 29?
An astronomical phenomenon lit up the sky last night as Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Uranus aligned near the moon. Astronomy lovers were able to spot the five planets aligned in an arc with the moon just after sunset.
According to experts, it is a common phenomenon that occurs every few years. It was visible to the naked eye as long as gazers were blessed with clear skies and a view of the west.
The sighting occurred as the five planets were positioned close to the sun, but that also meant that watchers had a slim window for the observance.
So, is there a planetary hangout tonight Wednesday, March 29?

What planets are visible tonight?
If you missed the viewing last night, you will still be able to admire the planets today. Although the best viewing was Tuesday, the planetary gathering will happen every day this week.
Gazers are advised to look to the northwest and binoculars will be required to locate the planets. Users should be warned of staring at the sun as it can cause damage to eyesight.
Time And Date also claim that seven planets – Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune – will be visible, but the latter three will be extremely difficult to see.

Jupiter will also become increasingly difficult throughout the week as it sinks closer to the horizon. That being said, the visibility of Mercury could potentially improve as its distance to the horizon increases through mid-April.
A rare hybrid eclipse expected in April 2023
A hybrid solar eclipse is expected to take place on April 20, visible from western Australia and Indonesia.
They are a combination of the more common total and annular eclipses.
A total eclipse occurs when the moon appears larger than the sun, therefore creating a moment of darkness. An annual eclipse is when the moon appears smaller than the sun, so when they pass, a “ring of fire” is visible around the moon’s silhouette.
During a hybrid eclipse, part of the path will experience an annular solar eclipse with the moon not completely blocking out the sun, while the rest of the path will be a total solar eclipse as the moon completely covers the sun.
The special April 2023 alignment will start and end as an annular eclipse; it is the first since November 3, 2023, and the final until November 14, 2031.
