Paul Merson has hailed Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus after his two-goal performance in the win over Leeds United.
The Gunners racked up a huge 4-1 win over Leeds after seeing Manchester City beat Liverpool by the same scoreline.
Jesus was the star of the show, scoring twice in his first league start since returning from injury.
Ben White and Granit Xhaka were also on the scoresheet as Arsenal secured an important victory.
Arsenal were able to leave Bukayo Saka on the bench and still come out with a thumping win.
That goes to show the attacking options at Mikel Arteta’s disposal now.
Jesus, Saka, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli are all fighting for just three places, making Arsenal very dangerous.

Paul Merson hails Gabriel Jesus performance
Jesus earned praise from Arsenal legend Paul Merson after turning in such a superb display against Leeds.
Merson told Sky Sports that he felt Jesus was simply ‘outstanding’ against Leeds.

Merson feels that Jesus just brings something completely different to the Arsenal front line because of his ability to drop deep and also run in behind.
The Arsenal hero also feels that Jesus knits the Arsenal attack together and is actually similar to Roberto Firmino.
Firmino was known for being a quality false nine, freeing up room for Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah to make diagonal darts in behind.
Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka can certainly do those roles going forward and Merson clearly feels that Jesus can be Arsenal’s very own Firmino.
Merson added that Mane is just a ‘proper, proper footballer’, raving about the Brazilian upon his return to the Arsenal starting lineup.
“I thought he was outstanding today,” said Merson. “He just brings something different to them. He comes off players, he knits it all together, he reminds me a bit of Firmino at Liverpool when he was at his pomp, playing with Mane and Salah. He is a bit like that. He knits it together, he comes short, he can go long. He’s just a proper, proper footballer,” he added.
Jesus returning is just perfect for Arsenal as they approach the final games of their title push.
If Saturday’s display is anything to go by, Jesus takes Arsenal to another level and his former club Manchester City should be very worried.
