Shaka Hislop has claimed that goalkeeper Hugo Lloris should have left Tottenham Hotspur ‘four years ago’ as Antonio Conte faces the sack.
The former West Ham keeper added that he ‘absolutely loves’ Hugo Lloris, but he used the 36-year-old as an example of the ‘problems’ at Spurs and how things haven’t moved forward in the transfer market by Daniel Levy.
There is a big spotlight on Spurs ahead of the international break following Conte’s outburst when his side let a 3-1 lead slip to draw 3-3 at bottom-of-the-table, Southampton.

There are consequences for your actions and it seems as though Conte’s punishment will be getting his P45 by Daniel Levy.
But, in truth, is it really a punishment for the outspoken Italian boss? It seems as though he wants to be sacked anyway, with Arsenal legend Emmanuel Petit ‘unhappy’ at Conte’s comments.
With a cloud still over the former Inter Milan manager’s future, Lloris has returned to Tottenham training following the knee injury he suffered in February.
The Frenchman was used as an example by Shaka Hislop when discussing the issues around Conte and Spurs, as he told ESPN.
“You can split the responsibility straight down the middle here,” said Hislop. “Daniel Levy hasn’t been easy to deal with in the transfer market.

“They have kept players when they could have moved them on and used that money. I am thinking of Harry Kane here. You could have used that to really build the squad for the future.
“Hugo Lloris is a goalkeeper that I absolutely love, but he should have been replaced three or four years ago. There are problems there that were evident for everyone to see that weren’t addressed.”

TIME FOR LLORIS TO LEAVE
Back in 2012, Spurs paid £15 million for Lloris’ services (BBC Sport) and he has served the club very well during that period, but his time has been up for a while.
The issue with Spurs is that they haven’t even brought in proper competition to push the Frenchman, instead, they have either been loan signings, declining players or ageing players to offer a so-called challenge.
Well, with Lloris’ error-prone ways taking a turn for the worst this season, added to the fact that he will have 12 months left to run on his contract this summer, the time is now right to move him on and bring in a fresh face.
