As a mystery-of-the-week series, each episode of Rian Johnson’s Poker Face has welcomed a host of new guest stars but who appears in the cast of episode 8, The Orpheus Syndrome?
Starring Natasha Lyonne as Charlie Cale, a woman with the extraordinary ability to detect when a person is lying, Poker Face has followed the budding sleuth on a crime-fighting journey across America in her trusty Plymouth Barracuda with every pit stop presenting her with a puzzling murder to investigate.
With the episodes ticking by and the finale approaching, Poker Face returns this week for episode 8 which sees a plethora of new faces join the cast.

Episode 8 of Poker Face landed on Peacock in the US on Thursday, February 23, 2023.
Titled The Orpheus Syndrome, the latest mystery revolves around a veteran special effects artist who unearths a past project to find closure for a fatal on-set accident that has left him with a lifetime of guilt.
However, when old demons resurface with deadly consequences, Charlie must race against time to unravel the details of the dangerous plot.

Guest star spotlight
Nick Nolte as Arthur
We begin our cast rundown for episode 8 with acting legend, Nick Nolte, who takes on the role of Arthur.
Nolte is a veteran of more than 110 acting credits, making it hard to narrow down his best-known roles but film and TV fans will likely recognize the 82-year-old from his Oscar-nominated appearances in The Prince Of Tides, Affliction and Warrior while he’s also starred in the Emmy-nominated Rich Man Poor Man as well as The Deep, 48 Hrs and its sequel, 2003’s Hulk, Hotel Rwanda, Tropic Thunder, Angel Has Fallen, Graves, and The Mandalorian where he voiced the ugnaught, Kuiil.
Cherry Jones as Laura
Also joining the cast of episode 8 is Cherry Jones, another acting stalwart whose career boasts more than 60 roles.
Cherry will be familiar to fans of Succession, Five Days At Memorial, The Eyes Of Tammy Faye, Transparent, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot and 24, where she played President Allison Taylor in seasons 7 and 8.

Luis Guzmán as Raoul

Puerto Rican-born Luis Guzmán has been a regular on our screens since making his acting debut in 1977 with his most recent role coming in the Netflix smash hit, Wednesday.
Other notable roles that have come throughout his prolific career have come in Hightown, Shameless, Godfather Of Harlem, Narcos, How To Make It In America, Code Black and the NBC comedy Community where he played himself in an episode.
Tim Russ as Max
Joining the incredibly experienced cast of episode 8 is Tim Russ who takes on the role of Max.
The actor has a whopping 180 roles to his name with notable credits in the likes of Samantha Who?, The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air, The Highwayman, Them, iCarly, Swamp Thing, The Orville and Star Trek: Voyager where he played the character Lt. Tuvok in almost 170 episodes.

Rowan Blanchard as Lily
Also starring in episode 8 is the comparatively inexperienced Rowan Blanchard.
Despite being just 21 years old, the actress already has an impressive 21 roles to her name with her most notable appearances coming in the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World, The Goldbergs, Snowpiercer and 2018’s A Wrinkle In Time.
Pedro Hollywood as Young Raoul
And finally, we end with Pedro Hollywood who takes on the role of a Young Raoul.
The New York City native is another relative newcomer with just 17 roles to his name but his growing list of acting roles includes appearances in the likes of The Equalizer TV series, FBI, The Scent Of Passion and the recent Netflix series, Kaleidoscope.
