PETE Davidson has said his life went downhill after an ill-advised money-making scheme he tried after he left rehab.
The comedian, 29, bought around “3,000 to 5,000” sealed VHS tapes in an attempt to sell them for profit.

He appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s show and shared that he is known for big purchases.
One of his money-making schemes saw him attempting to sell off physical tapes.
Pete revealed that the idea came to him one night when he was under the influence of drugs.
“I started collecting VHSes that were sealed in the box like three years ago ’cause I was really high one night,” he said on the show.

“So listen to this, guys: In 2026, it’ll be 20 years since the last VHS was made, right? So 20 years goes by — that’s enough time for people to be like, ‘Oh, that was cool, remember?’ Like vinyl?
“So I bought all the sealed ones that exist — like, three to five thousand tapes.”
The crowd laughed at his ridiculous story but Pete seemed to think his idea was valid.
The presenter of the Tonight Show also thought the idea was absurd, but Pete persisted.
He said: “You guys sound like my mom! No one believes in me!”
Photos were then displayed of Pete’s VHS collection, which proved Kim Kardashian’s ex has several boxes piled up in rooms.
“That’s at my assistant’s house and his girlfriend is very mad at him,” Pete joked.
He continued: “As of a month ago, sealed VHSes are now going for 20 to 30,000 grand a pop!” he exclaimed. “Rocky just sold for $27,000. It’s my GameStop. I own all of them, dude! Dude, no one believed in me! It’s gonna happen, you guys!”
Jimmy still didn’t seem to be convinced and said: “It’s a disaster.”

It seemed as if Pete was relying on his plan to work, as he said: “Dude, if it doesn’t work, I’m going to be on the road forever.”
Pete came out of rehab in July after going in for mental health issues.
Since his emergence, he has been returning to his career and social media.
However, friends are worried that his circle of friends are making his condition worse.
TRYING TIMES
“His buddies, these friends he has around him, they are enabling him and they aren’t being honest with him,” a source alleged to the U.S. Sun.
“He came out of rehab and he immediately started talking about how had taken ketamine to treat his depression and these people who are always around him didn’t think that was a big deal.
“It wasn’t a big deal until of course it blew up and became a problem for his fresh-out-of-rehab image.
“Here is the thing, I don’t think he is mature enough to face reality and face the music,” the source said, adding: “If he doesn’t start taking his issues seriously, he could wind up killing himself from drugs.”
CAR DISASTER
It was also alleged that the Saturday Night Live star was involved in a car crash at the beginning of the month.
This came just weeks after he was charged with reckless driving for another incident over the summer.
The comedian allegedly swiped his black GMC SUV against a wall while leaving The Wiltern in Los Angeles.
He was apparently witnessed in the driver’s seat with a man next to him and three others in the passenger seats behind.
Witnesses said they didn’t know it was Pete driving, with sources claiming people screamed, “Oh s**t, that was Pete!” after he got out of the car.
