Paul Merson has said on Sky Sports News (12:36pm, March 11, 2023) that Brentford boss Thomas Frank is the perfect manager for Tottenham Hotspur under chairman Daniel Levy.
The former Arsenal star has said that because of the way Frank operates at Brentford, the 49-year-old Danish boss would work perfectly with Spurs chairman Levy.
The Sky Sports pundit has noted that at Brentford, Frank has to work with a limited budget.
Tottenham do not spend a lot of money in transfer windows, and Merson believes that the 49-year-old would be perfect for Levy.
Earlier this month, The Athletic reported that Tottenham have been impressed by the work done by Frank at Brentford.
The Bees are flying in the Premier League and could end up in the European places.
Sky Sports pundit Merson had earlier said that Tottenham should sack Antonio Conte now and get back Mauricio Pochettino.

Paul Merson on Thomas Frank to Tottenham Hotspur
Merson said: “For Daniel Levy, I think the box that ticks is Thomas Frank.
“He sings off the same hymn sheet as Daniel Levy. They want to get in good deals, good players, a lot less for what the big boys get them.”

HITC View: Thomas Frank would be a smart appointment for Tottenham
In our view, if Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte leaves at the end of the season, then Thomas Frank would not be a bad replacement.
Okay, Frank is not an ‘elite’ manager, but you cannot ignore the wonderful work he has done at Brentford with a limited budget.
Tottenham are a bigger club than Brentford, and we believe that the chance to leave the Bees for Spurs could be too tempting for the Dane.
