Tottenham Hotspur want Lecce star Morten Hjulmand but the midfielder allegedly has an Arsenal tattoo having supported the Gunners.
Calciomercato claimed earlier this week that Tottenham have been scouting Hjulmand on multiple occasions this season.
Fabio Paratici knows the Italian market well and may see Hjulmand as a major addition to the Tottenham midfield ranks.
Hjulmand is into the final 18 months of his contract at Lecce and an extension seems unlikely with so much interest.
Tottenham may sense a bargain deal for Hjulmand given that contract situation and Rodrigo Bentancur’s long-term injury may leave Spurs feeling they need more midfield depth.

Tottenham target Morten Hjulmand appears to love Arsenal
Earlier this season, Morten Hjulmand told Gazzetta Dello Sport that he is ‘crazy’ about the Premier League and specifically Arsenal.
Hjulmand grew up supporting Arsenal but it appears to go a little further than that.

Gazzetta’s Francesco Calvi took to Twitter after interviewing Hjumand and noted that the midfielder has an ‘Arsenal tattoo on his shoulder’.
Tuttomercatoweb add that Hjulmand has the Arsenal crest tattooed on his right shoulder to be specific.
Arsenal fans have turned out for Tottenham before; we’re thinking about Darren Bent here but others like Serge Aurier had previously shown a liking for the Gunners.
That’s no big deal but a tattoo? That would be a little bigger and more of an issue for Tottenham fans to get over.
If Hjulmand joined Tottenham and impressed alongside fellow Danish midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, that Arsenal tattoo would probably be forgotten or at least ignored.
For now though, some will wonder whether signing somebody who loves Arsenal that much is really the best idea.
