Crystal Palace could soon get the chance to hire Brendan Rodgers – who is on Tottenham‘s shortlist of options to replace Antonio Conte.
What’s the story?
Well, the Northern Irishman saw his Leicester side record a 1-1 draw against Brentford in the Premier League earlier today, which leaves them just one point above the relegation zone.
While that is a decent result against a strong side, the manner of the performance serves up plenty of questions marks about whether Rodgers will keep his job at the King Power Stadium – the defending for Mathias Jensen’s goal was especially concerning.
With the international break now upon us, Leicester have a decision to make.
As Crystal Palace find themselves in talks with Roy Hodgson due to a lack of options, they may be interested in speaking to Rodgers should he receive his P45 like Patrick Vieira did on Friday morning.
Tottenham – according to talkSPORT – are definitely interested in the Northern Irishman.

The 50-year-old is said to be on their list of potential replacements for Conte.
Now, some may question why Crystal Palace would want Rodgers given the fact his Leicester side are currently struggling – if you do find yourself asking that, there is one good reason.
Tottenham target Rodgers could revitalise Crystal Palace attack
One man who would surely like to see Rodgers at Selhurst Park is Odsonne Edouard.
The Frenchman scored 27 goals and provided ten assists in 68 appearances under Rodgers at Celtic, making a name for himself as one of the most exciting forwards in Europe.

Since joining Crystal Palace in a £14m deal from Celtic back in August 2021, Edouard has struggled, scoring just 11 goals in 57 appearances under Vieira.
However, Rodgers could breath new life into Edouard’s Crystal Palace career, and if he can get the 25-year-old occupying defenders once again, it could also have a transformative effect on Wilfried Zaha, Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze too.
The south Londoners are in need of something to ignite their attack, to say the least – according to Opta, they recently became the first team on record to go three Premier League games without having a shot on target.
Yes, Rodgers may not be too helpful in terms of defending, but that is not the issue for Crystal Palace right now.
