Arsenal may have missed out on Mykhailo Mudryk but that saga may actually help them end up signing Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling this summer.
The Mudryk to Arsenal saga really dragged on for months and months without the pay-off Gunners fans wanted.
It looked like Mudryk would be heading to North London in a huge January deal – but Shakhtar Donetsk kept rejecting Arsenal’s approaches.
Chelsea ended up paying exactly what Shakhtar wanted and completed an enormous move.
We’re yet to really see that deal pay off; Mudryk has been on the bench for Chelsea’s last couple of games and we’re yet to see him dazzle for the Blues.
Arsenal may still feel disappointed to have miss out on Mudryk having chased him for so long.
Yet Arsenal could end up benefiting from Mudryk’s move with Chelsea winger Sterling potentially available…

Arsenal could now sign Raheem Sterling after missing out on Mykhailo Mudryk
90Min reported on Monday that Arsenal are interested in snapping up Chelsea wide man Sterling this summer.

Mikel Arteta knows Sterling from their time together at Manchester City and a reunion could be ideal.
Arsenal need to add more quality to their squad and Sterling may well fancy leaving what looks like a chaotic project at Chelsea.
The writing was on the wall in January when Chelsea signed two wingers in Noni Madueke and the aforementioned Mudryk.
Both players figure to be important for Chelsea going forward and that may leave Sterling on the outside looking in.
The 28-year-old – who cost £47.5million last year – hasn’t enjoyed a stellar season with the Blues, managing just four goals and two assists in 18 games.
Chelsea may well cut their losses and flog Sterling after just a year at the club, with Arsenal potentially in position to land a Premier League-proven winger who knows Arteta well whilst Chelsea hope Mudryk comes good.
Missing out on Mudryk hurt, but Arsenal can still benefit by swooping in for Sterling.
