The Independent have added this week that Tottenham have been testing Slot’s interest in the job through intermediaries.
Spurs seem to be seriously interested in Slot, who is closing in on the Eredivisie title withe Feyenoord and is into the last eight of the Europa League.

Tottenham were interested in luring Erik ten Hag from Ajax as a replacement for Jose Mourinho.
However, the Daily Mail claim that Ten Hag failed to impress Tottenham through a perceived lack of charisma.

That sounds hilarious now given Ten Hag’s reputation at Manchester United, where he has impressed this season and already won a trophy.
Tottenham would probably wish they had pulled the trigger and gone for Ten Hag now, but they could rectify that by going for the next top Eredivisie boss.
Slot is that man, and whilst he hasn’t enjoyed big Champions League success like Ten Hag did at Ajax, he has worked wonders at Feyenoord.
Slot lost so many players last summer, such as Marcos Senesi, Tyrell Malacia, Fredrik Aursnes and Luis Sinisterra, yet still has Feyneoord on the verge of a title win.
In Europe, Slot reached the Europa Conference League last season and is into the last eight of the Europa League this season, so he has been showing his ability on the bigger stages.
Exciting, attacking football without breaking the bank; those are factors that will really appeal to Tottenham.
Hailed as being even more attacking than Pep Guardiola by Dutch reporter Marcel van der Kraan, Slot will make a big move soon enough just like Ten Hag.
Spurs may feel a little foolish for passing on Ten Hag two years ago but going for Slot may just help them rectify that error.
