Arsenal legend Alan Smith says Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma is now ‘nothing like the player’ he was at Brighton and Hove Albion.
The 26-year-old has struggled since moving to Antonio Conte’s Tottenham in the summer, with previous suggestions that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal also wanted him on board.
Instead, Yves Bissouma headed to the other side of north London, where he has found it difficult to be a regular for a team that could be about to sack their manager.

Antonio Conte’s rant is still hitting the headlines, despite it being nearly a week since he outed the club, from top to bottom.
When Spurs signed Bissouma, many felt that it was a brilliant capture from the London club and a player that would help Conte take the team forward, but it has been far from that, according to their fans.
Yes, Bissouma has had his injury issues, but that player who was lighting it up at the Amex Stadium is now seemingly the shadow of himself, which was touched upon by Alan Smith, as he told Sky Sports News.

“People like Bissouma, I know he’s been injured,” said Smith. “But he’s nothing like the player he was at Brighton.”

WILL BISSOUMA COME GOOD?
Well, it’s only a matter of time before Antonio Conte is out of the door at Spurs, and when he does leave, it will be interesting to see how Bissouma and others perform.
It needs to be remembered that the Italian only plays a two-man midfield and he hasn’t changed that since the day he took the job.
That hasn’t helped Bissouma’s cause and it will be interesting, when the new man comes in, if he plays a three-man midfield, whether or not that will help change the former Brighton star’s fortunes.
