Crystal Palace v Manchester City - Premier League

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has warned Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal that there are ‘still a lot of games left’ in the race to win the Premier League title.

After Haaland’s penalty helped Pep Guardiola’s men beat Crystal Palace 1-0 at Selhurst Park on Saturday evening, their star striker reminded Arsenal that they still have to make that dreaded trip to the Etihad next month.

The gap between the two is now two points, although, the north London outfit can open it back up to five if they beat newly-promoted and over-achieving Fulham.

For Manchester City, you just know they will keep churning out the results and points, however which way they come.

When the duo meet on April 26th, you just know that there won’t be much between the two.

One of the main reasons behind that is the scary talent Guardiola can pick from, including being able to bench Kevin de Bruyne for Man City’s trip to Selhurst Park.

Nonetheless, Haaland had this message for Arsenal after his side’s win yesterday, as he told Premier League Productions (11/03/23 at 7:35 pm).

“Every single game (is tough) and now Leipzig (in the Champions League) is the next game, then it’s Burnley (in the FA Cup) and we have to win,” said Haaland.

“We have to win games. Of course, this gap (to Arsenal). We have to just focus on ourselves. We have them at home. We still have a lot of games yet to play still and nothing is decided yet.

“I enjoy it. This is England. This is what I have been matching my whole life, so I enjoy every single second being in it and I enjoy being in the middle of it.”

OVER TO YOU ARSENAL…

This is still in Arsenal’s hands because they have that extra game in hand against Manchester City, plus the duo play one another next month.

But, at the end of the day, it’s the points on the board that matter the post.

Injuries, or lack of them, are going to play a huge part during these last few months. Gabriel Jesus is returning, and so is Emile Smith Rowe, but can someone like Thomas Partey stay out of the treatment room? If Arsenal get their luck in that regard, then their title drought might just be coming to an end.
