Brentford winger Kevin Schade has suggested that a move to Liverpool would have been ‘not good’ for him due to a lack of playing time.
The Bees are always impressive in the transfer market and pounced for Liverpool-linked Schade in January.
The speedy winger has joined on loan from Bundesliga side Freiburg until the end of the season.
Brentford are then expected to turn the deal permanent with a club-record £21million fee already agreed.
Schade has yet to start a Premier League game and has only played 52 minutes across four substitute appearances.
Brentford seemingly believe that the 21-year-old attacker has huge potential and will be patient with the loanee.
The Bees made their move for Schade amid lingering claims that Liverpool have been interested.

Kevin Schade explains Liverpool stance
NTV reported in November 2021 that Schade had shunned interest from Liverpool in favour of staying with Freiburg.
A wide man with blistering pace, Schade will surely have remained on the Liverpool radar for future transfer windows.

The Reds then saw Schade move to the Premier League but pick a move to Brentford.
Schade has now explained that decision in an interview with Brentford’s official website.
Schade claims that going to Liverpool would not be good for him because he would be stuck on the sidelines more often than not.
Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo, Diogo Jota, Mohamed Salah and the injured Luis Diaz can all play out wide.
Schade may therefore believe that he would be stuck on the bench at Liverpool and not developing.
Brentford managed to win the race as Schade thinks he will have a better path to first-team action, with the winger clearly happy with his decision.
“Brentford wanted me,” said Schade. “They really wanted me. It’s a good step. It’s a Premier League club who are doing really well at the moment. To go to somewhere like Liverpool is not good for me because I would not play.”
“Fresh from an injury, I need time and games to be 100 per cent fit. I’m quick and Brentford’s system is to play quick at the top, with deep runners and crosses from the outside. That’s my game. And I can jump high as well. I think the style will fit my game. The coach, the staff, the team-mates – they are very friendly. It has given me a very good feeling and I have settled in fast,” he added.
